Who can apply?
Any member of staff currently employed by the North West and the Greater Manchester Probation Services.
What about colleagues from partner agencies?
Whilst the Trust cannot normally fund individuals from partner agencies, we both welcome and encourage applications from staff who wish to undertake their Scholarship project in partnership with staff from other agencies including academic institutions and the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS).
What about service user involvement?
We welcome applications that include service users and the Trust will consider financial support where appropriate.
What kind of projects will we support?
Rhodes bursaries support short periods of practice based observation, evaluation and research where the application can:

- Demonstrate relevance to the practice, policy or organisational development of work with individuals who offend or those at risk of reoffending or who are victims of crime
- Provide the possibility for policy and/or practice improvement within the Probation Service and/or wider criminal justice system
- Provide an opportunity for both personal and professional deveopment and organisational learning
- Be capable of dissemination to the wider public as well as colleagues and partners
