Since its establishment in 1989, RhodesFST has provided 56 bursaries to support 77 individuals to visit projects across 5 continents. This has encompassed places as far apart as Leicester, Seoul and New Orleans. Topics covered can be broadly categorised under the following:
Besides supporting scholars to visit projects and organisations, Rhodes has also funded attendance at conferences and the completion of research.
- Dangerous offending individuals including sex offenders and those committing terrorist offences
- Young people who offend including prevention and restorative justice
- Domestic abuse

- Residential services for individuals who offend
- Homophobia and hate crime
- Mentally disordered service users
- Operation of the criminal justice system including courts, sentencing, probation programmes, electronic monitoring, commissioning of services and use of volunteers/mentors

- Understanding Consent in working with indoividuals who commit sexual offences
